Stardew valley do floor stop fruit trees.
After applying the fertilizer seeds saplings sprinkled with tree fertilizer will take on a red hue until fully grown.
If this happens then the tree will stop growing until the seed of he other tree is removed.
So i put floors everywere lol 6.
This means 28 harvests per year per tree.
If you want to place some flooring to stop grass do so outside the ring of tiles near the tree.

Also be aware that sometimes when your fruit trees still are growing there may get seeds from normal trees embedded into the 1 tile radius of a tree.
